Sunset Skies III by John-Peter Sunset Skies III by John-Peter
A beautiful sunset with the color spreading life.

Edit: Contrast, colors, saturation, levels.

What hit me straight away with this photograph was the striking colours of the sunset. The contrasting silhouette of the foreground plants make the vivid oranges and yellows even more dramatic.

I think that the clouds help give texture to the background avoiding an empty space but it's subtle enough not to compete and overthrough the detail in the plants.

There is one issue that seems to stand out and that's the fuzziness of the silhouetted plants. In a smaller piece, like say a postcard for example, this wouldn't be as much of an issue but I think a larger piece like this on a large canvas - the image may need to much sharper.

However, the overall photograph is very good and is definitely comparible with other good photography on deviantART.

Hmmm, a sunset vista... Well, what I can say, it's very very nice. Although it was a little edited, I like it anyway =) It's obvious that is a well-made photography, and it came out pretty good. Definition is practically perfect, with excellently highlighted colours, magnificent sharpness and a good saturation level. I can't give a fully excellent mark to the originality due to many photos of sunsets that I saw until now, therefore this is not a new thing. Apart from this, I think that the photographer used a very good technique for take a photo of this fantastic twilight, and the crepuscular light in this picture has a fine and remarkable impact. So, in my humble point of view, this is an A-1 work, and I'm rather sure that many watchers will agree with me.
