For starters, I think this piece is beautiful. I love how there is such a shallow depth of field, resulting in the majority of the photograph to be out of focus, creating one main focal point. The blurry parts make the image look dreamy and beautiful, and make the photo as a whole seem relaxed as if the eye is relaxing and the viewer is dozing off.
This focal point is very interesting as it is off-centre and uses the rule of thirds, which is pleasing to the eye. The colours are also a very good choice, the contrasting of blue and yellow creates a colourful, and bright atmosphere. This helps to establish the tone of the image as a positive one, arousing feeling in the viewer.
When I look at this photograph, I think of falling asleep, watching the sun set, in an open field. Lovely image!
I love how there is pretty much an equal amount of yellow to blue. I'm not sure why, I just think it's a nice effect, especially because the focal point is off centre. It makes the image a little more even.
All in all, I think there couldn't be much done to improve this photograph. I find the colour balance, focus and content to be successful, delicate and subtle.
